Abstract

La invención abarca sistemas y métodos para la identificación, verificación, y autenticación de un individuo al obtener una característica biométrica (por ejemplo, reconocimiento facial) de un individuo utilizando un dispositivo móvil (por ejemplo, una cámara del dispositivo móvil). El sistema y método incluye recibir un dispositivo móvil, datos biométricos de un individuo capturados por el dispositivo móvil (por ejemplo, una cámara en una tableta móvil), almacenar y encriptar los datos biométricos, enviar con seguridad los datos biométricos encriptados a un servidor conocido o base de datos y recibir una solicitud del dispositivo móvil para autenticación del individuo, la solicitud incluye datos biométricos capturados por el dispositivo móvil, comparar los datos biométricos a los datos conocidos del individuo almacenados en una base de datos o servidor y los datos biométricos incluidos en la solicitud, y enviar al dispositivo móvil una respuesta a la solicitud para autenticar al individuo basado en un resultado de la comparación, en donde la respuesta a la solicitud permite la verificación del individuo y el acceso del individuo a un área asegurada.
