Abstract

La invención incluye un sistema para determinar el área de superficie corporal (BSA) o el volumen de un animal que puede usarse para determinar el estado de salud del animal. El sistema tiene una pluralidad de dispositivos de medición integrados, como sensores de radar o infrarrojos. Los dispositivos de medición se montan en un espacio reducido. Se toman una pluralidad de medidas a lo largo de secciones o rebanadas del animal orientadas verticalmente a medida que el animal pasa por el espacio confinado.
