La presente invención se refiere a un bacteriófago Podoviridae Sal-HEP-1 (número de acceso: KCTC 13454BP) aislado de la naturaleza, que tiene la capacidad de matar Salmonella Heidelberg y tiene el genoma representado por la SEQ ID NO: 1, y a un método para prevenir y tratar una enfermedad provocada por Salmonella Heidelberg mediante el uso de una composición que contiene el mismo un como ingrediente activo.
