Abstract
The present invention enables selecting, according to the situation, between prioritizing smoothness, or prioritizing staying in lane, and achieves vehicle behavior that provides greater peace of mind. With respect to a position error correction device for an autonomous driving vehicle, the device being provided with a navigation control unit (3) for correcting errors during autonomous driving, the navigation control unit (3) comprises, in a target path corrector (36) for correcting a target path, a road boundary information integration unit (361), a lateral correction amount calculation unit (362), and a lateral parallel movement unit (363). The road boundary information integration unit (361) detects the vehicle lane boundaries of the vehicle lane in which the vehicle in question is traveling. The lateral correction amount calculation unit (362) compares the positional relationship between the detected vehicle lane boundaries and the target path on a map, and if the target path is present within a prescribed distance in relation to the vehicle lane boundaries, or if the target path is on the opposite side of the vehicle in question with respect to the vehicle lane boundaries, the lateral correction amount calculation unit (362) calculates a lateral correction amount for the target path. When a lateral correction amount is calculated, the lateral parallel movement unit (363) corrects the target path through parallel movement in the lateral direction by an amount corresponding to the lateral correction amount.
