Abstract
Se describen sistemas y metodos para detectar defectos en tuberias. En una modalidad, un metodo para detectar defectos en tuberias incluye: generar una senal electrica en una primera tuberia mediante un generador de senal conectado electricamente con la primera tuberia y una segunda tuberia. El equipo de adquisicion de datos adquiere una senal reflejada conectada electricamente con la primera tuberia y la segunda tuberia. La senal reflejada se refleja al menos parcialmente de un defecto en la primera tuberia o la segunda tuberia. El metodo también incluye analizar la senal reflejada para determinar al menos una de la ubicacion del defecto y la gravedad del defecto. En algunas modalidades, la primera tuberia y una segunda tuberia están conectadas con un cable de derivacion.
