Abstract
Métodos, sistemas y medios legibles por computadora pueden operar para facilitar la gestión del consumo de potencia de una estación habilitando e inhabilitando cadenas inalámbricas; una estación puede determinar requerimientos QoS mínimos para soportar un servicio WLAN en la estación; la estación puede determinar y utilizar un número mínimo de cadenas WLAN necesarias para soportar el servicio WLAN mientras que se cumple con los requerimientos QoS mínimos; en modalidades, se puede monitorear una temperatura interna de la estación, y cuando la temperatura interna de la estación excede un umbral de temperatura, una o más cadenas WLAN de la estación pueden ser inhabilitadas para reducir el consumo de potencia de la estación.
