Abstract

The present invention discloses an injection device (100, 200), which consists of a security shield (104, 204) and housing (108, 200). Said housing is slidably disposed with respect to the security shield and has a guide groove (172, 252) to engage the shield tongue to guide the movement thereof, with respect to the security shield. Said groove has a first (184, 256), a second (188, 260) axial portions, and a considerably helical portion (192, 264) that connects the first and second axial portions (184, 188, 256, 260). Also, it has a medicament container (120, 220) connected to the housing and a needle (124, 224) attached in communication with a medicament disposed within the container. Said container can be moved relative to the security shield (104, 204) from an initial position to an injection position, to a withdr awal position.
