Abstract

Se proporciona una herramienta de evaluación a base de rayos X para medir la densidad de los volúmenes de material dentro y alrededor de los entornos de pozo sin revestimiento, con revestimiento simple, doble y revestimiento múltiple, la herramienta incluye por lo menos una longitud interior que comprende una sección de sonda, en donde dicha sección de sonda comprende además, una fuente de rayos X; un blindaje de radiación para detectores de medición de radiación; y una pluralidad de electrónicos dependientes de la sonda; en donde la herramienta usa rayos X para iluminar la formación que rodea un pozo, en donde la geometría, el movimiento y la pluralidad de haces fuente de salida se seleccionan mediante manguitos blindados colimados móviles, y una pluralidad de detectores se utilizan para medir directamente la densidad del anillo cementado y cualquier variación de densidad dentro del mismo. También se proporcionan varios detectores de radiación electromagnética, blindajes y configuraciones interiores prácticas y subsistemas y métodos de uso de los mismos.
