Abstract
Se proporciona una barra de acero para forja en caliente que tiene una excelente manejabilidad en caliente y muestra un alto límite elástico, una alta resistencia a la fatiga, una excelente maquinabilidad y una excelente división por fractura después de la forja en caliente. Una barra de acero para la forja en caliente de acuerdo con la presente divulgación tiene una composición química que consiste, en porcentaje en masa, C: 0.05 a 0.40%, Si: de 0.05 a 0.50%, Mn: 1.51 a 3.50%, P: de 0.010 a 0.100%, S: 0.30% o menos, Cr: 0.05 a 2.50%, V: 0.10 a 0.75%, Ti: 0.005% a 0.250%, Al: 0.005 a 0.060% y N: 0.002 a 0.020%, siendo el resto Fe e impurezas y satisface la fórmula (1). Una densidad numérica de TiNs que tiene un diámetro equivalente del círculo de no menos de 20 µm en acero es de 0.3 a 4.0/mm210 : 0.48 = C + 0.11Mn + 0.08Cr + 0.75V + 0.20Mo = 1.50 (1) donde, los símbolos de los elementos en la fórmula deben ser sustituidos por el contenido de los elementos correspondientes (en porcentaje en masa).
