Abstract
Las arquitecturas de procesamiento de audio se describen para implementar un algoritmo de compresión de audio multibanda con procesamiento de sonido envolvente avanzado. Las arquitecturas ejemplares pueden mejorar la fidelidad y la difusión de campo de sonido percibido de los altavoces estéreo, económicos y montados en gabinetes, como aquellos que pueden encontrarse en televisores, sistemas de altavoces inalámbricos y barras de sonido. Las modalidades de la presente divulgación pueden mejorar los altavoces estéreo económicos y montados en gabinetes, al proporcionar, por ejemplo, (i) un algoritmo de sonido envolvente avanzado que agrega profundidad y altura a las imágenes de campo de sonido izquierda/derecha/central, (ii) un algoritmo de saturación suave para minimizar las distorsiones percibidas causadas por la sobremodulación del compresor, (iii) ajuste de orden de filtro de separación de frecuencias configurable para permitir un mejor aislamiento entre las bandas, (iv) un ajuste de amplificación máxima de compresor para reducir la sobremodulación y minimizar la intensificación de ruido, y/o (v) un ajuste de amplificación central para enfatizar la percepción de la imagen central (diálogo) en situaciones de ruido ambiental alto.
