Abstract

Se describe una composición polimérica para reticulado in situ en una herida que comprende 1) uno o más polímeros polianiónicos como los alginatos o hialuronatos capaces de ser reticulados en la superficie de una herida y 2) uno o más polímeros policatiónicos como el quitosán o Dextrano-DEAE que ayuda en el proceso de solidificación y acelera la hemostasis sin necesidad de ejercer presión. La composición polimérica biocompatíble puede comprender un agente reticulante como el cloruro de calcio acuoso. La invención abarca una composición polimérica inicial, la matriz solidificada reticulada e integrada a la zona de la herida, incluyendo los métodos de uso, aplicación y reticulación de la composición.
