Abstract

The present invention relates to a system for evaluating the thermal power of a central tower thermo-solar system, which allows the direct measurement of concentrated solar radiation incident on a wide surface, specifically the direct measurement of concentrated solar radiation incident on an area of six square meters, with intensities between five and 500kW/m2. Said system uses a calorimetric technique and efficient heat transfer. Also, it circulates a thermal fluid (water) through the device to remove the concentrated solar energy that the calorimeter receives from a set of heliostats. It uses a set of elements called fins for transferring the surface that receives the concentrated solar energy to the cooling fluid.
