Abstract
The present invention relates to a novel method for obtaining recombinant protein-producing animal cells with a more efficient energy metabolism from the overexpression of the genes that make up the mitochondrial pyruvate transporter, which results in its higher growth and products. Said cells are preferably human cells or animal cells (mammalian or insect), allowing increasing productivity of producer systems based on animal cells.
