Abstract

Se proporciona un método y aparato para codificar y decodificar una unidad de codificación o un contorno de una imagen. Un método de decodificación de imagen y aparato de acuerdo con una modalidad determinan si una unidad de codificación actual se extiende a través de un contorno de una imagen, al comparar una ubicación de la unidad de codificación actual en la imagen a al menos uno de una anchura y una altura de la imagen, dividir la unidad de codificación actual en al menos una dirección en una pluralidad de unidades de codificación con base en una forma de la unidad de codificación actual al determinar que la unidad de codificación actual se extiende a través del contorno de la imagen, obtener información de la forma del bloque e información del tipo de división de la unidad de codificación actual de un flujo de bits y dividir la unidad de codificación actual en una pluralidad de unidades de codificación con base en la información de la forma del bloque y la información del tipo de división al determinar que la unidad de codificación actual no se extiende a través del contorno de la imagen, y decodificar una unidad de codificación que ya no se divide entre la pluralidad de unidades de codificación.
