Abstract
Se describen un acero de cementación que es adecuado como material para producir partes estructurales mecánicas que tienen alta resistencia a la fatiga por flexión rotativa y resistencia a la fatiga por impacto a un costo relativamente bajo, y un método para producir las mismas. El acero de cementación tiene una composición química que contiene, en % masa, C, Si, Mn, P, S, Cr, Mo, B, Ti, N, y O dentro de un intervalo que satisface una relación predeterminada, y Al en al menos una cantidad predeterminada en relación con los contenidos de B, N y Ti, siendo el resto Fe e impurezas inevitables, donde vI = 80 se satisface, donde I representa un área en µm2 de una inclusión base óxido ubicada en el centro de un ojo de pescado en una superficie de fracturamiento del acero de cementación después de someterse a temple rápido de carburación y revenido y subsecuentemente a una prueba de fatiga por flexión rotativa.
