Abstract

Una disposición para protección de paquetes de batería durante ingreso de fluidos; el paquete de baterías puede incluir un alojamiento, un bloque de terminal y un ensamble de baterías centrales soportada en el alojamiento, en donde el ensamble incluye un alojamiento central, una pluralidad de celdas de batería soportada en el alojamiento central, un primer conector de soldadura que conecta las celdas de batería a una terminal de energía positiva, un segundo conector de soldadura que conecta las celdas de batería a una terminal de energía negativa, un primer electrodo de sacrificio conectado al primer conector de soldadura, y un segundo electrodo de sacrificio conectado al segundo conector de soldadura; un espaciado entre el primer electrodo de sacrificio y el segundo electrodo de sacrificio puede seleccionarse de tal manera que un fluido de ingreso que entra en el paquete de baterías hace corto eléctrico en el primer electrodo de sacrificio y el segundo electrodo de sacrificio para disminuir un voltaje del ensamble de batería de celdas y descargar la energía de la batería antes de dañar las celdas de batería.
