Abstract
En el presente documento se describen sistemas y métodos para la planificación quirúrgica ortognática. Un método implementado en computadora ejemplar puede incluir generar un modelo tridimensional (3D) compuesto del cráneo de un sujeto, definir un marco de referencia primario para el modelo 3D compuesto, realizar un análisis cefalométrico en el modelo 3D compuesto para cuantificar al menos una propiedad geométrica de cráneo del sujeto, realizar una osteotomía virtual para separar el modelo 3D compuesto en una pluralidad de segmentos, realizar una simulación quirúrgica utilizando los segmentos osteotomizados, y diseñar una férula o plantilla quirúrgica para el sujeto.
