Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un sistema y método para manufacturar y/o reacondicionar soportes y armazones laterales de vagones de ferrocarril que incluye al menos un robot adaptado para acceder a posiciones a lo largo de la longitud de la pieza; un mapa de las dimensiones de la pieza, que se puede obtener por una sonda o un escáner en los robots, permite que un procesador determine dónde se requiere la soldadura y mecanizado para cumplir con ciertas tolerancias dimensionales, aprovechando nuevas superficies de referencia en la pieza que no pueden ser aprovechadas usando medidores convencionales; los robots pueden ubicar y montar herramientas de soldadura y remoción de material para realizar las operaciones de soldadura y remoción de material determinadas por el procesador.
