Abstract
Un intercambiador de calor, en par ticular, un intercooler, en el que el aire caliente se refrigera mediante un fluido de refrigeración, se monta a partir de pares de placas apilados con pasajes de flujo de aire dispuestos entre los pares de placas adyacentes. Cada uno de los pares de placas incluye una entrada y una salida para el flujo del fluido de refrigeración dispuestas dentro de una región de entrada y salida y alineadas con la dirección del flujo de aire a través del intercambiador de calor. Se dispone una barrera de flujo formada por los cordones de las placas entre la región de entrada y salida y una sección de intercambio de calor del par de placas. Un flujo de fluido de refrigeración se dirige a través de trayecto de flujo de refrigerante que se extiende a troves del par de placas entre la entrada de fluido de refrigeración y la salida de fluido de refrigeración, donde el trayecto de flujo del fluido de refrigeración tiene una primera parte a lo largo de un borde longitudinal de las placas, una segunda parte a lo largo de un borde longitudinal opuesto de las placas y una tercera parte que se extiende a través de la sección de intercambio de calor entre la primera y segunda parte. El flujo de fluido de refrigeración a través de la tercera parte es en una dirección contraria al flujo de aire.
