Abstract
Un sistema generador de aerosol operado eléctricamente que comprende medios para detectar condiciones adversas, tal como un calentador seco. El sistema comprende un calentador eléctrico que comprende al menos un elemento de calentamiento para calentar un sustrato formador de aerosol, un suministro de energía y circuitos eléctricos (109) conectados al calentador eléctrico y al suministro de energía y que comprende una memoria, los circuitos eléctricos se configuran para: medir una resistencia eléctrica inicial (R1) del calentador eléctrico; medir una resistencia eléctrica posterior del calentador eléctrico después de la medición de la resistencia eléctrica inicial; determinar la diferencia (?R) entre la resistencia eléctrica inicial y la resistencia eléctrica posterior; determinar una condición adversa cuando la diferencia determinada entre la resistencia eléctrica posterior y la resistencia eléctrica inicial sea mayor que un valor umbral máximo (?Rmáx) o sea menor que el valor umbral mínimo (?Rmín) almacenado en la memoria; y controlar la energía suministrada al calentador eléctrico en función de si se ha determinado que existe una condición adversa o proporcionar una indicación si se determina que se existe una condición adversa.
