Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un proceso para preparar óxido de propileno, que comprende (i) proporcionar una corriente que comprende propeno, peróxido de hidrógeno o una fuente de peróxido de hidrógeno, agua, y un disolvente orgánico; (ii) hacer pasar la corriente de alimentación de líquido proporcionada en (i) en una zona de epoxidación que comprende un catalizador de epoxidación que comprende una zeolita de titanio, y someter la corriente de alimentación de líquido a condiciones de reacción de epoxidación en la zona de epoxidación, obteniendo una mezcla de reacción que comprende propeno, óxido de propileno, agua, y el disolvente orgánico; (iii) retirar una corriente de eftuente de la zona de epoxidación, la corriente de efluente comprende óxido de propileno, agua, disolvente orgánico, y propeno; (iv) separar propeno de la corriente de efluente por destilación, que comprende (iv.1) someter la corriente de efluente a condiciones de destilación en una unidad de destilación, obteniendo una corriente superior gaseosa S0 enriquecida en propeno en comparación con la corriente de efluente sometida a condiciones de destilación, y una corriente inferior líquida S01 enriquecida en óxido de propileno, agua y disolvente orgánico en comparación con la corriente de efluente sometida a condiciones de destilación; (iv.2) devolver una porción condensada de la corriente S0 a una parte superior de la unidad de destilación.
