Abstract
Una caja eléctrica soporta una o más tomas eléctricas o de datos electrónicos en una cavidad, con una puerta de doble bisagra que cubre al menos parcialmente una abertura de la cavidad cuando la puerta está cerrada. La puerta se puede abrir en cualquiera de las dos direcciones pivotándola alrededor de cualquiera de los dos ejes de pivote separados que se definen por los respectivos brazos de pivote acoplados a los extremos opuestos y los lados opuestos de la puerta, estando además los brazos de pivote acoplados en sus respectivos extremos proximales a las paredes opuestas de la carcasa. Una característica de retención asegura de manera liberable la puerta en la posición cerrada y puede proporcionar retroalimentación sensorial a un usuario al cerrar la puerta. Opcionalmente, la puerta tiene un aspecto flotante en la abertura de la cavidad, sin que exista contacto directo entre la puerta y la carcasa.
