Abstract
Se describe una luminaria para su uso con iluminación de emergencia por alimentación a través de Ethernet. La luminaria incluye un paquete de batería recargable, un excitador de LED de respaldo de emergencia, un excitador de LED de iluminación normal y una lámpara de LED. La luminaria también incluye un monitor de pérdida de energía que monitorea la presencia de energía de iluminación normal presente en un enlace de alimentación a través de Ethernet, y conecta el excitador de LED de respaldo de emergencia a la lámpara de LED a través de un dispositivo de retransmisión en caso de pérdida de energía de iluminación normal. Además, se proporciona un método para detectar la pérdida de energía en un segmento de enlace de POE, en donde el método incluye detectar un voltaje diferencia de CD entre un primer conductor en un primer par de datos en el segmento de enlace de POE y un segundo conductor en un segundo par de datos en el mismo segmento de enlace de POE.
