Abstract

Se describe un método para formar partículas de polímero compuestas de látex que produce partículas de polímero compuestas, resistentes a hidrolisis, que se pueden utilizar en composiciones de látex acuosas. Cada una de las partículas de polímero compuestas de látex incluye una primera fase que comprende un oligómero o polímero de éster de vinilo; opcionalmente, una fase intermedia; y al menos una segunda fase que comprende un oligómero o polímero acrílico un oligómero o polímero de estireno, un copolímero acrílico-estireno, o mezclas de los mismos. La segunda fase y/o la fase intermedia encapsula al menos parcialmente la primera fase. Las fases intermedias y segundas son más hidrofóbicas que la primera fase. Opcionalmente, la primera fase, la segunda fase, y/o la fase intermedia pueden comprender además un agente reticulador.
