Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un artículo conformado que comprende un material elastomérico, a un procedimiento para obtener el artículo conformado y al uso del artículo conformado para formar un aislamiento térmico y/o acústico, amortiguación acústica y/o de la vibración, protección mecánica y/o para aplicaciones que requieren soporte de carga así como para una estructura, tal como una tubería, una canalización, un tanque o un recipiente, que tienen un aislamiento formado a partir del artículo conformado. El artículo conformado tiene una forma plana con dos lados principales y una pluralidad de rebajes de sección decreciente formados en uno de los lados principales. Los rebajes de sección decreciente forman cada uno un ángulo agudo y la suma de los ángulos agudos de todos los rebajes de sección decreciente es de 300 a 355 grados. La penetración de los rebajes en la forma es más del 20% pero no más del 80% del grosor de la forma plana. Los artículos conformados comprenden un material elastomérico reticulado y expandido, comprendiendo el material elastomérico al menos un polímero (A) de elastómero reticulado y al menos una resina (B) reticulada, en el que el al menos un polímero (A) de elastómero y la al menos una resina (B) forman una red interpenetrante.
