Abstract

Se describen métodos para la recuperación mejorada de petróleo. En un método, una formación de arenisca que contiene petróleo que posee un contenido de arcilla de al menos 5 % en peso se inyecta con una mezcla de tensoactivo, una solución que comprende 0.5 a 3 % en peso de solución alcalina acuosa, y una solución acuosa que comprende poliéter. En otro método, una formación de arenisca que tiene una salinidad dentro del rango de 20,000 a 100,000 ppm de sólidos disueltos totales y un contenido de iones divalentes dentro del rango de 1,000 a 10,000 ppm se inyecta con una mezcla de tensoactivo y una solución acuosa que comprende un poliéter. En ambos métodos la solución de poliéter se inyecta como un agente de sacrificio previo a la inyección de la mezcla de tensoactivo o se inyecta como un agente de atenuación simultáneamente con la mezcla de tensoactivo. De manera sorprendente, la adsorción de la mezcla de tensoactivo en la formación se puede reducir en al menos 20 a 70 % o más comparado con métodos similares que se lleva a cabo sin la solución alcalina acuosa, la solución de poliéter, o ambas.
