Abstract

Un sistema para la elaboración del perfil de velocidad de un tren para utilizarse en conexión con un sistema para el manejo del tren, que puede generar un perfil virtual de una ruta predeterminada que tiene un tiempo de llegada estimado en un destino con base en datos específicos para la ruta y el tren actual que viajará sobre la ruta. El perfil virtual puede ajustarse para cualquier aceleración y cualquier desaceleración requerida por el tren, y después optimizarse para un consumo de combustible reducido mediante la reducción del esfuerzo del frenado y mejorando las oportunidades de inercia sobre la ruta si el tiempo de llegada estimado es anterior al tiempo de llegada deseado. El perfil virtual además puede conformarse de tal forma que el tiempo de llegada estimado coincide con el tiempo de llegada deseado dentro de un umbral estrecho.
