Abstract
Un aparato tal como un aparato de iluminación (110A, 110B, 110C, 110D) comprende por lo menos un módulo LED (u OLED) (115), configurado para generar una luz visible tal como luz blanca, y por lo menos un componente tal como un componente óptico que comprende un compuesto que consiste esencialmente en los elementos neodimio (Nd) y fluor (F), y que incluye opcionalmente uno o más de otros elementos; el aparato de iluminación (110A, 110B, 110C, 110D) está configurado para proporcionar un espectro de luz deseado mediante el filtrado de la luz visible generada utilizando el compuesto; el por lo menos un componente puede comprender un compuesto de NdFxOy con valores de x e y que determinan una relación de contenido de F/O, los cuales se pueden ajustar durante la fabricación del compuesto de NdFxOy para proporcionar parámetros de luz de salida deseados del aparato que incluyen por lo menos un espectro de luz de salida deseado realizado mediante filtrado de la luz visible generada utilizando el compuesto de NdFxOy.
