Abstract

Se proporciona un dispositivo electroterapéutico para tratar una enfermedad visual usando estimulación de microcorriente; el dispositivo incluye un generador de señal en donde un controlador de forma de onda controla digitalmente una fuente de señal para generar una forma de onda en la que uno o más parámetros de forma de onda (por ejemplo, ancho de pulso, período de pulso, posición de pulso, codificación de pulso, amplitud de corriente pico, deber ciclo, y/o forma de pulso) se varían de acuerdo con un protocolo para tratar una enfermedad visual; el dispositivo también incluye un aplicador conectado al generador de señal y configurado para aplicar la forma de onda a al menos un punto de estimulación dentro de una región ocular.
