Abstract
En la presente se proporcionan sistemas, y métodos para usar tales sistemas, para producir polímeros superabsorbentes a partir de óxido de etileno y monóxido de carbono. Los sistemas de producción tienen varias operaciones unitarias, que incluyen, por ejemplo, un sistema de producción de ß-propiolactona configurado para producir ß-propiolactona a partir de óxido de etileno y monóxido de carbono y un sistema de producción de polímero superabsorbente configurado para producir polímeros superabsorbentes a partir de ß-propiolactona y/o ácido acrílico.
