Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a composiciones lubricantes que comprenden un compuesto de Fórmula I: (ver Fórmula) en donde R1-R4 y R5-R8 se seleccionan independientemente del grupo que consiste en grupos hidrocarbilo y grupos hidrocarbilo que contienen heteroátomos, de tal manera que el total de átomos de carbono de los contraiones Q1 y Q2 es de 8 a 76, y el anión molibdato (Y) es un dianión dinuclear azufrado seleccionado del grupo que consiste en [MO2S8O2]2-, [MO2S9O]2-, [MO2S10]2- y mezclas de los mismos y están presentes en la composición lubricante en una cantidad suficiente para proporcionar aproximadamente 100-15,000 ppm de molibdeno.
