Abstract

La invención se refiere a un sistema de radar que comprende un arreglo de antenas (1) que están previstas para transmitir y recibir radiación electromagnética, siendo que se prevén N primeras antenas (4) para transmitir y M segundas antenas (5) para recibir, y con las N primeras antenas transmisoras (4) y con las M segundas antenas receptoras (5) se detectan objetos en el alcance de detección de las antenas (4, 5) de acuerdo al principio MIMO. Se prevé además que las N primeras antenas transmisoras (4) emitan en una ciclo de transmisión señales de transmisión ortogonales relativamente una a otra, que N-n de las N primeras antenas transmisoras (11, 11) se dispongan horizontalmente yuxtapuestas y al menos n de las N primeras antenas transmisoras (12, 13) se dispongan desplazadas verticalmente con un desplazamiento en cada caso igual con respecto a las N-n antenas transmisoras (10, 11) dispuestas horizontalmente yuxtapuestas y que M-m de las M segundas antenas receptoras (14, 15, 16, 17) se dispongan horizontalmente yuxtapuestas y al menos m de las M segundas antenas receptoras (19, 20, 21) se dispongan desplazadas verticalmente con respecto a las M-m antenas receptoras (14, 15, 16, 17) dispuestas horizontalmente yuxtapuestas.
