Abstract

Se describe un proceso para la síntesis de metanol que comprende los pasos de: (i) hacer pasar una primera mezcla de gas de síntesis que comprende un gas de reposición y un primer flujo de gas para reciclado circular a través de un primer reactor de síntesis que contiene un catalizador para síntesis de metanol enfriado para formar un primer flujo de producto gaseoso, (ii) recuperar el metanol del primer flujo de producto gaseoso formando con esto una primera mezcla de gas con metanol-agotado, (iii) combinar la primera mezcla de gas con metanol-agotado con un segundo flujo de gas para reciclado circular para formar una segunda mezcla de gas de síntesis, (iv) hacer pasar la segunda mezcla de gas de síntesis a través de un segundo reactor de síntesis que contiene un catalizador para síntesis de metanol enfriado para formar una segundo flujo de producto gaseoso, (v) recuperar el metanol del segundo flujo de producto gaseoso formando con esto una segunda mezcla de gas con metanol-agotado y (vi) formar el primero y segundo flujos de gas para reciclado circular a partir de la segunda mezcla de gas con metanol-agotado, en donde el primer reactor de síntesis tiene una mayor transferencia de calor por metro cúbico del catalizador que el segundo reactor de síntesis y la velocidad de reciclado del primer flujo de gas para reciclado circular para formar la primera mezcla de gas de síntesis está en la variación de 0.1 a 1:1, y la velocidad de reciclado del segundo flujo de gas para reciclado circular para formar la segunda mezcla de gas de síntesis está en la variación de 1.1:1 a 6:1.
