Abstract
Técnicas y mecanismos para proporcionar conectividad para comunicaciones satelitales a un vehículo de motor. En una modalidad, un dispositivo de comunicación se dispone entre una superficie exterior del vehículo de motor y una superficie interior del vehículo de motor. Un panel de antena, dispuesto en un alojamiento del dispositivo de comunicación, puede estar configurado para participar en la comunicación satelital vía un primer lado del dispositivo de comunicación. Una configuración del panel de antena, el alojamiento o una o más interfases de hardware del dispositivo de comunicación pueden facilitar una solución de bajo perfil para dicha comunicación con el satélite. En otra modalidad, la una o más interfases de hardware están dispuestas cada una sobre un lado respectivo del alojamiento distinto del primer lado, la una o más interfases de hardware para acoplar el dispositivo de comunicación a una fuente de alimentación eléctrica de un vehículo de motor.
