Abstract
Se proporciona un proceso para purificar metacrilato de metilo mediante (a) la alimentación de una mezcla que comprende metacrilato de metilo y su sal alcalina en una columna de destilación por encima del centro junto con un hidrocarburo; (b) la remoción de una primera corriente superior; (c) la remoción de una primera corriente de fondo; (d) la alimentación de la primera corriente superior a un primer separador de agua para producir (i) una primera fase orgánica y (ii) una primera fase acuosa que ingresa en una columna de secado de metanol que produce una segunda corriente superior y una segunda corriente de fondo; (e) la alimentación de la primera corriente de fondo a un segundo separador de agua para producir (i) una segunda fase acuosa que se alimenta a una columna separadora de MMA que produce una tercera corriente superior y una tercera corriente de fondo y (ii) una segunda fase orgánica; (f) la combinación de la segunda fase orgánica y la segunda corriente de fondo en un tercer separador de agua que produce una tercera fase orgánica que ingresa en una columna de secado de MMA que produce una cuarta corriente de fondo y (g) la alimentación de la cuarta corriente de fondo a una columna de producto de MMA.
