Abstract

En la producción de cultivos en las áreas de agricultura, horticultura y similares, el daño causado por pestes de insectos, etc., todavía es inmenso, y han aparecido pestes de insectos resistentes a los insecticidas existentes. Bajo dichas circunstancias, es necesario el desarrollo de nuevos insecticidas para la agricultura y la horticultura. La presente invención proporciona un insecticida para la agricultura y horticultura que comprende, como ingrediente activo, un compuesto de 3H-pirrolopiridina representado por la fórmula general (1): [quim. 1] (ver formula) en donde A1, A2 y A3 representan, cada uno, un átomo de nitrógeno o un grupo CH, R1 representa un grupo etilo, R2 y R4 representa, cada uno, un átomo de hidrógeno, R3 y R7 representan, cada uno, un grupo haloalqilo, R5 y R6 representan, cada uno, un átomo de flúor, y m representa 0, o 2) un N-óxido del mismo o una sal del mismo; y un método para usar el insecticida para la agricultura y horticultura.
