Abstract

Un aparato de evaluación de rendimiento de la atención médica (10) que incluye al menos un procesador (16, 20, 22, 24) programado para: recolectar información asociada con eventos relacionados médicamente de una pluralidad de bases de datos; agrupar la información recolectada asociada con los eventos relacionados médicamente en estructuras de datos del episodio de atención (EOC, por su sigla en inglés), donde cada estructura de datos de EOC contiene la información recolectada para un EOC que trate una afección médica o que proporcione un procedimiento médico a un solo paciente; almacenar las estructuras de datos de EOC en un repositorio de EOC (18); agrupar las estructuras de datos EOC en al menos una cohorte; y calcular al menos uno de los indicadores clave de rendimiento (KPI) para las cohortes. Se configura una pantalla (2) para mostrar los KPI para por lo menos una cohorte seleccionada.
