Abstract
Un método que comprende codificar una primera capa de escalabilidad que comprende al menos una primera imagen base codificada y una segunda imagen base codificada, siendo decodificable la primera capa de escalabilidad usando un primer algoritmo; reconstruir la primera y la segunda imágenes base codificadas en una primera y una segunda imágenes base reconstruidas, respectivamente, siendo adyacentes la primera imagen base reconstruida y la segunda imagen base reconstruida en orden de salida del primer algoritmo entre todas las imágenes reconstruidas de la primera capa de escalabilidad; reconstruir, usando un segundo algoritmo, una tercera imagen base reconstruida desde al menos la primera y la segunda imágenes base reconstruidas, residiendo la tercera imagen base reconstruida entre la primera imagen base reconstruida y la segunda imagen base reconstruida en orden de salida; codificar una segunda capa de escalabilidad que comprende al menos una primera imagen de mejora codificada, una segunda imagen de mejora codificada y una tercera imagen de mejora codificada, siendo decodificable la segunda capa de escalabilidad usando un tercer algoritmo que comprende predicción inter-capa que toma una imagen reconstruida como entrada; y reconstruir la primera, la segunda y la tercera imágenes de mejora codificadas en una primera, una segunda y una tercera imágenes de mejora reconstruidas, respectivamente, proporcionando la primera, la segunda y la tercera imágenes base reconstruidas, respectivamente, como entrada para predicción inter-capa, coincidiendo la primera, la segunda y la tercera imágenes de mejora reconstruidas en orden de salida del primer algoritmo con la primera, la segunda y la tercera imágenes base reconstruidas, respectivamente.
