Abstract
La presente invención se relaciona con un sistema automático para medir y maquinar el extremo de tubos que comprende: equipo de medición (1) que tiene: un sensor láser interno (3) y un sensor láser externo (2) para medir los diámetros interior y exterior del extremo de tubo; una estación de maquinado (5) que tiene por lo menos una herramienta para maquinar el diámetro interior del tubo (14) y por lo menos una herramienta para maquinar el diámetro exterior del tubo (12, 13), las herramientas se operan de forma centralizada e independiente unas de otras; una unidad central electrónica que proporciona una interfaz (6) entre el equipo de medición y las herramientas de maquinado, y comprende registros de valores críticos de los diámetros exterior e interior de los extremos de tubo, en donde la interfaz electrónica central (6) recibe los valores medidos de los diámetros exterior e interior del equipo de medición, compara estos valores con los valores críticos, y controla la operación de la herramientas de maquinado (12, 13, 14) de conformidad con el resultado de la comparación, para llevar los valores reales de los diámetros exterior e interior cerca de los valores críticos.
