Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un proceso para preparar 1-(2,6,6-trimetilciclohex-2-en-1-il)but-2-en-1-ona, que comprende a) proporcionar 6,10-dimetilundeca-1,5,9-trien-4-oI, b) oxidar 6,10-dimetilundeca-1,5,9-trien-4-oI proporcionado en el paso a) con un agente oxidante en presencia de al menos un radical nitroxilo orgánico, al menos un compuesto de nitrato y un sólido inorgánico para dar 6,10-dimetilundeca-1,5,9-trien-4-ona, c) hacer reaccionar la 6,10-dimetilundeca-1,5,9-trien-4-ona obtenida en el paso b) con un ácido para dar 1-(2,6,6-trimetilciclohex-2-en -1-il)but-2-en-1-ona.
