Abstract

La presente invención se relaciona con un método para reducir patógenos en y/o sobre un sujeto, que comprende exponer el sujeto a radiación infrarroja. La fuente de radiación infrarroja comprende en particular un elemento de calentamiento con cristal de carbono, el cual puede ser aplicado y/o colocado en la vecindad de un sujeto. En particular, la presente invención proporciona un método para tratar infecciones en un árbol, como la antracnosis hemorrágica en castañas de indias y/o antracnosis en árboles de kiwi. La invención proporciona además un método para desinfectar artículos y para pasteurizar o esterilizar productos alimenticios.
