Abstract
Un proceso para la extracción de litio a partir de una salmuera, en donde se pone en contacto la solución de la salmuera con un adsorbente de titanato, de manera tal que se adsorben iones de litio sobre el mismo, rechazando sustancialmente todos los otros cationes. El adsorbente se proporciona en forma de ya sea un dióxido de titano hidratado o un titanato de sodio. El proceso a su vez produce una solución de cloruro de litio sustancialmente pura.
