Abstract
La presente descripción proporciona un sistema y método para monitorear un sistema de anclaje para una embarcación flotante que utiliza el tiempo del período natural independiente de condiciones ambientales. El periodo natural puede ser calculado y/o establecido experimentalmente con el tiempo al medir movimiento de la embarcación para establecer el periodo natural en posiciones geográficas dadas de un sistema de anclaje seguro e intacto. El periodo natural puede ser monitoreado con base en el tiempo para completar un periodo natural. Un cambio en una rigidez de línea de anclaje, ya sea por una falla, estiramiento, o degradación de la integridad de la línea anclaje, o un desplazamiento significativo de un punto de anclaje, se traducirá en un periodo natural diferente con un tiempo diferente. Al monitorear el periodo natural para una posición geográfica dada (y rumbo correspondiente) que se va a comparar con los valores teóricos (y/o valores registrados previos) entonces es posible determinar que al menos una porción del sistema de anclaje ha fallado o que ha ocurrido un daño significativo.
