Abstract

Un dispositivo electrónico o eléctrico o componente del mismo que tiene un recubrimiento formado en el mismo mediante la exposición de dicho dispositivo electrónico o eléctrico o componente del mismo a un plasma que comprende uno o más compuestos monoméricos durante un período de tiempo suficiente para permitir que se forme un recubrimiento polimérico protector sobre una superficie del mismo; donde el recubrimiento polimérico protector forma una barrera física sobre una superficie del dispositivo electrónico o eléctrico o componente del mismo; en donde cada monómero es un compuesto de fórmula l (a): l (a) o un compuesto de fórmula I (b) donde cada uno de R1 a R9 se selecciona independientemente de hidrógeno o halógeno o una cadena ramificada o lineal C1-C6 opcionalmente sustituida grupo alquilo; cada X se selecciona independientemente de hidrógeno o halógeno; a es de 0 a 6; bes de 2 a 14; y ces 0 o 1, y en donde cuando cada X es F o cuando al menos un X es halógeno, en particular F, la relación de intensidad FTIR / ATR de CX3 / C = O del recubrimiento es menor que (c + 1) 0,6e-0,1 n en donde n es a + b + c + 1; y en el que cuando cada X es H, la relación de intensidad FTIR / ATR de CX3 / C = O es menor que (c + 1) 0,25 ± 0,02, opcionalmente en la que la barrera es una barrera física conforme.
