Abstract
La presente invención se relaciona con métodos para usar compuestos que contienen nitrógeno como inhibidores de corrosión. El presente método se usa para inhibir la corrosión de una superficie metálica en contacto con un sistema acuoso usando imidazoles 2-sustituidos y bencimidazoles 2-sustituidos, y proporciona una protección mejorada contra la corrosión de metales en el sistema acuoso. El método comprende el uso de inhibidores de corrosión que en general son resistentes al ataque de halógeno y proporcionan una buena resistencia a la corrosión en presencia de biocidas a base de halógeno oxidante. También se describen formulaciones que comprenden imidazoles 2-sustituidos y bencimidazoles 2-sustituidos.
