Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a productos de papel tisú que comprende fibra de hesperaloe de alto rendimiento con un mejor desempeño en húmedo, tal como mejor absorbencia, relación en húmedo/en seco en la CD y durabilidad en húmedo en la CD. La adición de fibras de pulpa de hesperaloe de alto rendimiento mejora de manera sorprendente la relación en húmedo/seco en la CD sin afectar de manera negativa la absorbencia del producto de papel tisú. Por ejemplo, los productos de papel tisú de la presente invención generalmente tienen una capacidad de absorción de más de aproximadamente 6.0 g/g, tal como de aproximadamente 6.0 a 8.0 g/g. Como tal, los productos de papel tisú son duraderos cuando están húmedos, pero son aún lo suficientemente absorbentes. Este equilibrio de absorbencia y resistencia en húmedo no se encuentra en la técnica anterior sin recurrir a la adición de aglutinantes de látex o similares al producto de papel tisú.
