Abstract
La estera de aislamiento acústico descrita incluye una primera capa absorbente hecha de un material fibroso no tejido. El material fibroso no tejido comprende una red de fibras entrelazadas que define una pluralidad de cavidades. La primera capa absorbente tiene un primer lado y un segundo lado. Las cavidades periféricas se disponen a lo largo del segundo lado de la primera capa absorbente entre fibras periféricas. Un recubrimiento se dispone en el segundo lado de la primera capa absorbente. El recubrimiento es adherido a las fibras periféricas y por consiguiente incluye una pluralidad de discontinuidades en las cavidades periféricas de manera que el recubrimiento proporciona una barrera parcial al ruido en el segundo lado de la primera capa absorbente.
