Abstract

Provided are a high-strength cold-rolled steel sheet having a surface layer tensile strength of 780 MPa or above, and good formability; a high-strength plated steel sheet; and a method for manufacturing these. The high-strength cold-rolled steel sheet has a specific component composition, and has a steel composition in which an area extending from 1/4 to 3/4 of the way through the thickness of the sheet has a ferrite phase area ratio of 20-80%, and a total area ratio of a bainite phase, martensite phase, and tempered martensite phase of 20-80%, and in which a trace amount of C concentration, represented by formula (1), at x µm in the sheet thickness direction from the steel sheet surface is 0.10 mass%/mm, the sheet having a tensile strength of 780 MPa or above when subjected to tensile testing using a JIS No. 5 tensile test piece. d [%Cx]/dx = ([%Cx] - [%Cx - 10 µm])/0.01 (1).
