Abstract

De acuerdo con algunas modalidades, un método para mejorar el rendimiento de vagón comprende identificar una soldadura de vagón sometida a cargas dinámicas; determinar la soldadura de vagón que es propensa a fatiga; aplicar un tratamiento de impacto a la soldadura de vagón utilizando el transductor acoplado a uno o más pasadores, en donde uno o rads pasadores se configuran para hacer contacto con la soldadura de vagón sin la interferencia de otras porciones del vagón. De acuerdo con algunas modalidades, un dispositivo de tratamiento de impacto para un vagón comprende un transductor acoplado a uno o alias pasadores para impartir un impacto a una soldadura de vagón. El transductor y uno o más pasadores se configuran para poner uno o más pasadores en contacto con la soldadura de vagón sin la interferencia de otras porciones del vagón. El transductor comprende uno de un transductor ultrasónico, un transductor piezoeléctrico o un transductor neumático.
