Abstract

The present invention relates to a conversion kit for a manual to an electric wheelchair, comprising the installation of a pair of knurled drums for the transmission of movement by contact, each of them adapted to its respective DC electric motor, and installed by spacers to a rack profile, which is installed as a whole by a mountable and removable attachment to the lower lateral structure of the manual wheelchair. Also, it comprises a joystick allowing controlling direction, advance and retraction of the chair. Moreover, a control device installed on the back of the backrest with the battery, which for ease of assembly and disassembly, are placed inside a backpack, and drives the engines. Further, it possesses quick-connect connectors for the electrical connection and disconnection of all devices, allowing folding and transporting the wheelchair, with or without the disabled person already seated.
